SEO Moves Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described on this page. That means we decide why and how it is used.
What we collect and why
We collect a small amount of information through this website. Client projects need more detail, but only where it is needed to scope, deliver or support the agreed work.
| When | Data | Why and lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| You visit the site | IP address, browser details, requested pages, timestamps and security logs. | To serve and secure the site. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a safe website. |
| You send an enquiry | Name, email, phone, company, project type, existing system and your message. | To reply and discuss a possible project. This is needed before a contract, or is our legitimate interest when you write on behalf of a business. |
| You become a client | Business contacts, project messages, specifications, files, approvals, support records and invoices. | To deliver the contract, keep financial records and protect both parties if a question or dispute arises. |
| You work with us as a supplier | Contact, contract and payment details. | To manage the contract and meet accounting duties. |
Do not send special category data, passwords or live customer records through the public form. We will agree a safer route if a project needs private data.
Cookies
The site currently sets two essential cookies. They protect the contact form and keep the website session secure. They are not used for advertising.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
orion-session | Keeps the website session secure. | Essential |
XSRF-TOKEN | Helps stop forged form submissions. | Essential |
We do not currently set analytics or advertising cookies on this site. If that changes, this notice will be updated. We will also add a choice where the law requires one.
Who receives the data
We share personal data only when the work or the law calls for it. Recipients may include:
- secure hosting, email, backup and IT support providers;
- payment, accounting and professional advisers;
- project suppliers agreed with the client; and
- courts, regulators or public authorities where disclosure is required.
These providers may only use the data for the service they supply to us. We do not sell it or give it to data brokers.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects are normally removed within 24 months of the last contact.
- Project and contract records are normally kept for six years after the work ends.
- Financial records are kept for the period required by UK tax and company law.
- Security logs follow the shortest period needed to investigate faults and abuse.
A live dispute, legal hold or support contract may mean we keep a record for longer. We remove it or make it anonymous when there is no sound reason to keep it.
Your rights
UK data law may give you the rights below. The exact rights depend on the facts.
- ask for a copy of your personal data;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to erase or restrict its use;
- object when we rely on legitimate interests;
- receive data you supplied in a portable format; or
- withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email support@devmoves.co.uk and tell us what you want us to stop.
We may need to confirm your identity before acting. Some rights have legal limits, so we will explain if a request cannot be met in full. We do not use automated decisions or profiling to decide whether to work with you.
Security and transfers
We use access controls, secure links, backups and supplier checks. The checks match the data and the risk. No online system can be promised as fully secure.
Some technology suppliers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we use an approved transfer route or contractual safeguard. You can ask us for details about the safeguard used for your data.
Contact and complaints
Email support@devmoves.co.uk with a privacy question or rights request. Please give enough detail for us to find the relevant record.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We would like the chance to put things right first, but you do not have to contact us before speaking to the ICO.
Company details can be checked on the Companies House register.
