Web Design
Wakefield
Where we are, and why that is on this page
Our office is Unit F4, Southgate Business Centre, 32 Gillygate, Pontefract WF8 1PQ. Pontefract is one of the towns in the City of Wakefield district, along with Castleford, Normanton, Featherstone, Knottingley, Ossett and Horbury. So when we say we are a Wakefield web design company, we mean the district we are actually in, not a city we have picked off a map.
Plenty of agencies rank for a town they have never worked in. A registered address, a local phone number and a Google listing you can open are all easy to check. Do check ours.
What being nearby changes, and what it does not
We would rather set this out honestly than tell you distance decides the quality of a website. It does not.
Working out what you need
The first conversation is better in a room. You can show us the spreadsheet, the old system and the thing that annoys you daily.
We do this on a call for clients all over the country and it works. It is just slower to get to the real problem.
Reviewing the site before launch
Sitting together while someone clicks through it surfaces things a written list of comments never does.
A shared screen covers most of it. You will still spot the same problems, just with more back and forth.
How the site is actually built
Nothing. The code is the same wherever you are sitting.
Correct. Anyone telling you a local developer writes better code is selling you the drive, not the work.
Getting hold of someone
You can turn up. Some people value that a great deal and it is a fair reason to choose someone near you.
A firm two hundred miles away that answers the phone beats a local one that does not.
Choose on the work and the people. If two firms are equal and one of them is up the road, take the one up the road.
What we build for businesses around here
We are developers who design, so the range runs from a straightforward site through to software with logins and its own database. Most enquiries land in the first half of that.
-
01
A website that explains and sells
Service pages, proof, and a contact form that reaches you. The common starting point, and often all a business needs.
-
02
A site your own team can update
A content system you can run without learning to code, so normal changes do not need a developer and a wait.
-
03
An online shop
Stock, pricing rules, delivery and payment. The rules behind a shop are usually where the real work sits.
-
04
Software that does a job
Logins, bookings, quotes, records. When a website is not enough because somebody has to complete a task.
-
05
Looking after what you already have
Updates, backups, security and fixes for a site that is already live, including one we did not build.
Not sure which of those you need? That is a normal place to start. Describe the problem and we will tell you which one it is, including when the answer is the cheapest one.
